Parks Laborer
Permanent Part Time 29 hours/week $16.50 - $20

Park Laborers are an essential part of the team contributing to the beauty and upkeep of City parks. Under the guidance of a supervisor the Park Laborer performs hands-on work in landscaping and horticulture to enhance the natural splendor of our community spaces. This position is an ideal stepping stone for individuals eager to explore a career in public services or landscaping careers.
Key Duties:
- Works as a team to carry out landscaping and horticulture tasks in City parks
- Utilize landscaping and gardening tools with confidence and skill
- Be a steward of the environment by enhancing the beauty and appeal of public spaces
Qualifications:
- Previous landscaping or horticulture experience is a plus but a passion for greenery and a willingness to learn are equally valued
- Comfort working outdoors regardless of the weather
- Ability to handle landscaping and gardening tools including lawn equipment and small tools
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
