Schochet is currently seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician at Danforth Heights Apartments in Portland ME.

The lead maintenance technician must have electrical/plumbing/ HVAC/appliance repair skills.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
- Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks.
- Must be able available to complete On-call duties.
- Must be able to complete snow removal as needed.
- Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform all required duties in a professional and confidential manner.
Lead Maintenance technician positions require that an individual be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand and/or walk all addition occasional heavy lifting may be required. Duties of this position may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor. Able to work independently and strong customer service skills. In addition to the normal responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician the Lead Maintenance Technician will take on the additional responsibility of filling in for the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager if they are unavailable.
Alternating on-call shifts required. You must live within 30mins of Portland and have a valid drivers license and own transportation for on-call. $150 premium paid for all weeks that you are on-call additionally you are paid a time and a half rate for any emergency calls plus travel time.
