General Practitioner - Family Planning (Lismore)

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our Choices Program providing bulk-billed specialised sexual and reproductive health services at our Lismore clinic. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Service Delivery the General Practitioner will deliver high-quality clinical care aligned with Family Planning NSW guidelines and best practice standards.
While this role is based in Lismore some travel to support service delivery in nearby areas may occasionally be required.
Key Responsibilities include:
Conducting consultations in line with the Reproductive and Sexual Health: An Australian Clinical Handbook
Delivering inclusive and confidential care in areas including contraception sexual health and womens health
Collaborating with nurses and clinic staff in a multidisciplinary environment
Maintaining accurate clinical records using Best Practice software
Participating in team meetings service improvement and professional development activities
You are a compassionate and experienced General Practitioner with a person-centred trauma-informed approach. You bring deep understanding of sexual and reproductive health are adaptable and committed to inclusive evidence-based care.
Essential Criteria:
General registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA with at least 3 years experience
Current authority and provider number for NSW
FPAA National Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health or willingness to obtain within 2 years
Strong understanding of womens health and sexual health issues
High-level interpersonal and communication skills
Experience using medical software (preferably Best Practice)
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Additional Requirements:
Current AHPRA Registration
Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
Current NSW Driver Licence
Current Working with Children Check
National Police Check
