POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating new sales opportunities by proactively identifying researching and qualifying potential customers for EnerStars services with a focus on Legacy Rentals (Oilfield Accommodations Power Generation Containment Starlink and associated services). The SDR creates early engagement builds interest and secures initial meetings for the regional sales team.



The position can be based in Medicine Hat or Calgary Canada or as a remote position for the ideal candidate.



Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Research target companies and contacts in assigned territories using rig data industry reports LinkedIn trade associations and CRM data.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive target account lists.
  • Identify key decision makers: Drilling Managers Operations Managers Procurement Field Supervisors HSE and Logistics Coordinators.
  • Stay current on rig activity pad expansions and commodity trends impacting customer needs.

Outbound Prospecting

  • Conduct outbound calls emails LinkedIn outreach and other creative outreach tactics.
  • Execute structured call campaigns daily to drive top-of-funnel activity.
  • Generate high-volume outbound activity e.g. 50 calls/emails per day.
  • Attend industry networking events trade shows and conferences as needed to develop relationships.

Lead Qualifications

  • Qualify prospects based on EnerStars target customer profile.
  • Use structured qualification criteria: location fleet size drilling activity budget decision authority.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for Regional Sales Managers.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate prospect records in CRM system.

Pipeline Reporting & CRM Discipline

  • Update CRM with all prospecting activity lead status and contact information daily.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics: contacts made meetings scheduled pipeline created.
  • Participate in weekly SDR team huddles and sales team pipeline reviews.

Collaboration with Sales & Marketing

  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to align on target lists and handoffs.
  • Coordinate with marketing on targeted email campaigns trade show leads and regional events.
  • Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to sales leadership.

Continuous Learning

  • Develop strong product knowledge across EnerStars full suite of services.
  • Stay current on oilfield trends competitor offerings and evolving customer needs.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and development programs.

Participate in other relevant tasks as assigned.

Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel occasionally as required by EnerStar Solutions.




POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proactive hunter mentality not afraid of cold calling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce Hubspot etc.)
  • Strong business acumen ability to quickly learn EnerStars services and value prop
