The ideal candidate will haveexperienceworking on the sell-side of the media industryplanningmanagingand executing all types ofeventactivationsand tacticsincluding but not limited to client entertainingVIP dinnersmajormedia industry and category specificconference sponsorshipactivations1000personmulti-daysummits.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end logistical executionfor an annual roster of events as assigned to you by the Head of Events.
- Designevent activationsto driveand measurethe desired business objectives
- Create and drive event planning timelines inclusive of kick-off meetings with marketing strategists briefings with internal attendees creative briefings for brand managers and creative teams. Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Cultivatekey relationships for crucial collaboration-- aligning multiple differentstakeholders around the visionfor each event you produce.
- Work with event content manager toexecute customer facingevent communications includingbut not limited toinvitations agendas onsite collateral and signage.
- Engage Corporate Communications to create all thought leadership panels and presentation event elements.
- Engage Brand Strategy on all branding elements anddesign
- Own the creation of an always-up-to-date master PowerPoint presentation for each event that outlines details
- Present plans to key stakeholders and leaders for alignment and approvals
- Execute venue sourcing and sitevisits andselection for best fit locations
- Evaluate vendor services and venues according to industry standards and stakeholder requirements; communicate and gain buy-in on recommendations.
- Effectively negotiate contracts for hotels venues and vendors including F&B any/all audio-visual elements appropriate for events.
- Registration/list management (e.g. invite lists attendee management rooming lists name badges in partnership with lead development representatives)
- Act as the on-site captain to direct vendors supportinternal attendeesgreet guestsand trouble shoot in real time
- Create post event follow ups and surveysto measureand documentsuccess
- Manageeventbudget invoice payment and post event reconciliation
- Continue to learnfrom each activationandmakerecommendationsfor future executions to improve outcomes and createefficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years experience in event management (strategic and tactical)
- Supreme organizational skills and attention to details
- A passion forcreating engaging experiences that surprise and delight
- PowerPointpresentationbuildingskills
- Budgeting and timeline management experience
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to partner cross-functionally building healthy relationships across an organization
- A proven problem-solver who can identify the root cause of challenge and proactively work to solve
- Experience inthemedia industrya plus
- Abilityto travelto assigned events
