Your Impact

We build technology that gives security teams and first responders the clarity to act in moments that matter. Our Real-Time Operations (RTO) portfolio and the Fusus platform is transforming how law enforcement enterprise security and international agencies detect assess and respond to threats.

As Head of Rapid Response Real-Time Operations you will own Axons strategy and execution for products that enable the first 120 seconds of an incident the crucial window where speed clarity and coordinated action save lives.

You will lead a high-performing product team and work in close partnership with engineering public safety thought leaders and technology partners to deliver mission-critical early warning and rapid response solutions. This includes advancing next-generation 911 technologies integrating them with real-time crime centers and enabling drone-as-first-responder workflows.

Your scope will cover end-to-end capabilities: from 911/999 audio capture transcription and AI-generated summaries to seamless delivery of actionable intelligence to first responders in the field and the communities they serve.

  • Set the Vision: Define and execute a bold product strategy for rapid incident detection and response leveraging AI video and sensor technologies.
  • Drive Interoperability: Champion seamless integration across Axons devices cloud services and partner technologies to deliver unified real-time operational intelligence.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Align distributed Product Engineering and Design teams around a shared vision and roadmap.
  • Turn Insight into Action: Engage directly with customers to capture real-world requirements prioritize high-impact initiatives and translate them into actionable product plans.
  • Measure What Matters: Define and track adoption operational performance and customer impact metrics using them to guide roadmap and execution priorities.

Work Location: This role is based out of our Seattle WA office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. What Youll Do

  • Partner across Axons devices digital evidence and productivity solutions to deliver integrated rapid response capabilities.
  • Oversee customer engagement programs that capture voice of the customer insights and ensure these are prioritized into the product roadmap.
  • Develop a unified product vision for Rapid Response and deliver a refined prioritized execution path within the first 90 days.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure product delivery meets mission-critical reliability scalability and usability standards.
  • Identify and implement enhancements that drive customer adoption operational efficiency and measurable incident response improvements.

What You Bring

  • 5 years of experience in enterprise software product development focused on video audio alert or other IoT and sensor-related technologies in public safety.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with enterprise software development life cycles.
  • Demonstrated success in writing detailed product requirement documents and managing complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Bachelors degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company meaning compensation is made up of base pay bonus and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 177750 in the lowest geographic market and USD 284400 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level function training transferable skills work experience business needs geographic market and often a combination of all these factors.
