Position:1:1 Nurse Location:DistrictwideSchedule:2025-2026 School Year Salary:TBDFollows the Milford Public School CalendarTo Start:August 2025Qualifications:oA minimum of one to two years of pediatric health community health or other relevant clinical nursing experience. Prefer experience with medical procedures including g-tube feedings and suctioningoA valid and current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of MA DESE licensure as a School Nurse or eligible for this licenseoDegree in NursingoCurrent CPR/AED certification by a recognized :oProvide nursing care to students with health needsoWork collaboratively with the school nurse/Director of Nursing (DON) school administration school staff parents and health care providers/consultants to ensure a high quality of careoImplement plan of care (Individualized Health Care Plan) in consultation with school nurse/DON school staff parent and community providers as necessaryoMaintain a positive caring and safe environment for the students both in and out of the classroom setting (e.g. gym class recess field trips)oProvide medically prescribed interventions (including g-tube feedings suctioning CVC port care and medications) nursing procedures and nursing care to the studentsoAssist students with activities of daily living including toileting and hygiene as necessaryoUse sound nursing judgment to assess monitor and treat students based on medical directives and nursing care plansoNotify appropriate individuals e.g. school nurse parents school staff medical providers of immediate and potential health related concernsoEvaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and provide feedback to school nurse/DON medical providers and parents as indicatedoAttend IEP meetings and other meetings concerning the students as indicated. oDocument nursing interventions appropriatelyoAccompany school nurse on home visits before the start of school if warrantedoAccompany students on bus to and from school oOther responsibilities as assigned by the school nurse/DON school administration or Special Education Director
