Job Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advisesstudents and other passengers of appropriate behavior.
Assessesincidents complaints accidents and/or potential emergency situations.
Assistsstudents and other passengers loading and unloading from buses in bothemergency and normal transportation.
Cleansassigned vehicles both interior and exterior.
Conducts emergency evacuation drills.
Drivesschool bus/s.
Fuelsassigned vehicle.
Informsother school personnel parents etc. of events and/or practices.
Performspre and post trip inspections to ensure safety of the bus.
Preparesdocuments and reports.
Reports observations and/or incidents according to policies and procedures.
Respondsto inquiries from students parents other school personnel etc.
Supervises students and other passengers during transit.
Performsother duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

HighSchool Diploma
Knowledgeof state and District transportation policy and procedures
Knowledgeof safety practices and emergency evacuation procedures as related to transportation.
Abilityto consistently lift 40 pounds.
Ability to obtain BusDrivers License and CDL
Clearance of a pre-employment drug screening.
Clearance of a pre-employment physical
Clearance of Criminal Justice Fingerprint and a Background check.
Ability to obtain CPR/First aid Certification.
Ability to pass physical capacity test.
