Position Overview:

  • Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for an adaptable inquisitive self-starter ready to take on diverse challenges as a Sr. manager of ServiceNow CMDB team! You will play a significant role in overseeing and supporting a CMDB team that is designing architecting implementing and maintaining a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) system. This role involves ensuring the CMDB accurately reflects the IT infrastructure supporting IT operations incident resolution and strategic decision-making. The Sr. Manager typically oversees the CMDB teams that design and development of data integrations discovery processes CMDB operational and governance methodologies.

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager for CMDB team to join our ServiceNow CMDB team that is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining a reliable and sustainable configuration management system. It involves ensuring the CMDB accurately reflects the IT infrastructure supporting IT operations incident resolution and strategic decision-making.

  • The ideal candidate should have strong people management skills leadership and great team player. And knowledge and hands-on experience in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM CMDB ITOM Discovery Service Mapping APM SAMPro SPM and developing/implementing CSDM architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team size of 5

  • Guiding motivation and directing team members towards achieving common goals

  • Setting performance expectations providing regular feedback conducting performance appraisals and addressing any performance issues per Freddie Mac guidelines

  • Identifying training needs to the team and creative development and identifying and providing growth opportunities

  • Facilitating open communication fostering a collaborative environment and building strong relationships within the team business partners and stakeholders

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CMDB.

  • Oversee and own CMDB processes policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and improve CMDB process performance and metrics.

  • Provide training and guidance to CMDB users and stakeholders

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within the CMDB.

  • Monitor and address issues with CI metadata and data accuracy.

  • Drive continuous improvement of CMDB processes and the ServiceNow platform.

  • Participate in process design reviews and recommend improvements.

  • Provide support in all phases of development and ensure delivering high-quality products.

  • Provide training and mentor other team members when required.

  • Develop the most effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Work with other team members in planning prioritizing and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.

  • Assist in risk assessment issue management and mitigation activities. Experience is preparing issue resolution plans (RAP) action items (AP) certification and issue closure activities.

  • Lead steering committee meetings to review major changes design approaches with key stakeholders

  • Attend team meetings to communicate project status and discuss new ideas and any issues.

  • Recommend new technologies to ensure quality and productivity.

  • Assist in functional/technical audits and make sure to implement audit recommendations.

  • Make business presentations and solutions to senior leadership team.

  • Protect the organization by keeping information confidential and safe.

  • Provide information and reporting by collecting analyzing and summarizing development and service issues.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology

  • 10 years overall experience in software development design and architecture

  • 2 years of people manager experience of a team of 10

  • 5 years experience in designing architecting and developing CMDB solutions with experience in CSDM methodology

  • 8 years experience in Agile practices building software in an enterprise environment.

  • Deep enterprise architecture experience including technical architecture business architecture security architecture and data architecture practices and their significance with solution architecture discipline

  • Experience with distributed systems enterprise communications patterns & open standards like APIs

  • The ability to set clear and challenging goals while committing the organization to improved performance tenacious and accountable in driving results.

  • Strong capability & ability to drive Stakeholder & Relationship Management with internal & external customers & partners.

  • Recommended to have certification in ServiceNow ITOM Implementation Specialist with CMDB fundamentals Course and familiar with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $155000 - $233000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
