Associate Underwriter/Broker
Job Summary
Looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Underwriter/Broker to join a growing team. This role is designed to support a high-performing broker who has been expanding their book of business.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $70000 - $80000 annually

Responsibilities
- Review incoming new business submissions and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver quotes to brokers in a timely manner.
- Issue binders for approved policies.
- Collaborate with brokers to support the growth of the book of business.
- Handle accounts ranging from $5000 to $100000 with a focus on 70% contract binding and 30% brokerage.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in wholesale insurance with 2-3 years preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge: Contract binding experience is required. Familiarity with carriers such as RLI Ategrity Markel AmTrust Crum & Forster Western World Nautilus and Penn America is highly desirable.
- Licenses/Designations: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Skills:
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
