Renewal Underwriter - Commercial Lines
Job Summary
Looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Renewal Underwriter - Commercial Lines to join a dynamic and fast-growing team. This role is pivotal in managing and renewing a portfolio of contract binding property and casualty (P&C) accounts.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $70000 - $85000 annually

Responsibilities
- Review incoming renewal submissions and gather necessary information from agents.
- Assess whether policies align with underwriting guidelines and make recommendations accordingly.
- Prepare and present renewal quotes to agents.
- Issue binders and ensure timely processing of renewals.
- Manage a portfolio of 40-60 renewals monthly depending on experience level.
- Handle accounts ranging from $5000 to $50000 in premium with an average of $15000.
- Work with carriers such as USLI RLI AXA Crum & Forster AmTrust Western World and others.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in underwriting specifically in the contract binding space.
- Licenses: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with underwriting software and tools.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized independent detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.
- Preferred Background: Experience working with MGAs wholesale brokers or carriers such as CRC Amwins Bass or USG.
- Location: Must reside in a western state (CA WA OR TX or AZ preferred).
