Firestopper Job Description

Job Role:

• Installing firestop systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings
• Identifying and addressing potential fire hazards in structures
• Applying fire-resistant materials to seal openings and penetrations
• Ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and industry standards
• Measuring and cutting fire-resistant materials to fit specific spaces
• Installing and maintaining firestop systems to meet safety requirements
• Participating in fire safety training and staying informed about industry advancements

Requirements:

• Experience in firestopping or a related field
• Ability to work with various firestopping tools and materials
• Attention to detail for precise installation of fire-resistant barriers
• Adherence to safety procedures and protocols

Must be able to perform daily duties and be dependable.

Responsibilities

Work with the Foreman in completing jobs on time and under budget.

May be asked to work on other crews.
