Job Description
Job Title: Medical Director - Pediatric Hospitalist
Join a dynamic team as a full-time Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist in Hollister California. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the pediatric hospitalist practice at a well-respected healthcare facility providing care in a beautiful semi-rural community just minutes from Monterey Bay. Youll have the chance to impact the lives of newborns conduct emergency consults and manage pediatric admissions while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as Medical Director for the pediatric hospitalist practice.
- Provide coverage for high-risk deliveries.
- Conduct emergency room consults involving pediatric patients.
- Manage pediatric admissions of low acuity cases.
- Provide well newborn care at the hospital.
- Coordinate with the affiliated Level-III NICU for newborns requiring intensive care.
- Work a full-time schedule consisting of twelve 24-hour shifts per month with on-call responsibilities from home.
- Support a hospital with approximately 500 deliveries annually.
- Engage in a collaborative environment and encourage commuters to apply.
Qualifications:
- Current Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC Pediatrician) is required.
- Current in-patient hospital experience.
- California Medical License or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to reside in the immediate local area; relocation may be required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified (BC) Pediatrician.
- California Medical License.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
