HATC Maintenance &Engineering Manager
Huntsman is seeking a HATC Maintenance &Engineering Manager supporting the Corporate Division located in HATC The Woodlands TX. This position will report to the VP R&D/Woodlands Operations.
Job Scope
Responsible for the management and oversight of all Maintenance & Engineering activities and personnel at the Huntsman Advanced Technology Center (HATC)a 200000 . chemical R&D laboratory. The job scope includes all site infrastructure maintenance and projects as well as support to laboratory equipment engineering and maintenance when applicable.
In summary as the HATC Maintenance/Engineering Manager you will with minimal supervision and significant decision-making be expected to:
- Oversee all preventive maintenance and repair activities for all HATC infrastructure and facilities
- Responsible for direct supervision of all HATC maintenance personnel
- Oversee all facility contracts and contractors performing maintenance work at HATC
- Oversee all site managed engineering design and project management activities
- Develop track and control departmental expense and capital budgets
Other general responsibilities:
- Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Participates in Environmental Health & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience managing maintenance and engineering activities and personnel for a chemical manufacturing R&D laboratory or hospital/healthcare facility.
- Additional direct experience (15 years) may be considered in place of a Bachelors degree.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
Skills and knowledge
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance software highly desirable
- Experience developing and managing department budgets highly desirable
- Experience managing 3rd party maintenance contractors highly desirable
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet Email and Microsoft programs
- Communicates tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.
