Your role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and goal-oriented person to join our world class Warehousing & Distribution Centre based out of Rocklea to the Customer Supplier & Transport Lead you will be responsible for driving operational performance empowering and engaging an experienced distribution team & delivering step change improvements to ensure Rocklea continues to perform as a best-in-class facility.

You will ensure Distribution objectives are met which include an uncompromising commitment to safety accurate & efficient order picking to service our customers and Continuous Improvement delivered through reduction of waste & increase in efficiency through standardised processes.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Distribution Operations Coordinator you will focus on improvingorganisationaleffectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve distribution productivity and assist with driving a high-performanceculture built on safe work practices.

Additionally you will be responsible for;

  • Promoting a safe & sustainable culture & job environment
  • Ensuring distribution KPIs for the site/shift are met.
  • Distribution and team coordination.
  • Management of inventory and support labor planning to meet operational requirements
  • Third party supplier management such as transport providers.
  • Continuous identification and elimination of waste in the Distribution value streams.
  • Improving organisational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve productivity and drive a high-performance culture.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous ideally in a fast-moving goods environment
  • Strong leadership capability and ability to build effective relationships with both permanent and casual workforce in an enterprise agreement environment
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP advantageous but not required) and Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication influencing and change management skills with management and shop floor personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience initiating and delivering continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong organisation and time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage your own workload as well as coach others.
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and/or Dangerous Goods is advantageous; however training will be provided as part of the role.
