Job Description
Accounting Supervisor
Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for process improvement Our client is seeking a dynamic Accounting Supervisor to lead their team and contribute to expanding finance operations.
What Youll Do
In this pivotal role youll be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accountants and clerks fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Financial Oversight: Oversee daily accounting operations including standard cost/variance analysis inventory transactions and operational analysis.
Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate monthly quarterly and year-end closings in compliance with GAAP and other regulations. Youll also be responsible for financial operational and statistical reporting with a focus on enhancing data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across all accounting functions.
Auditing & Controls: Facilitate coordination with both internal and external auditors and implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
Planning & Budgeting: Assist with operating budgets analysis and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning.
What Youll Bring
A bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks effectively.
Experience with ERP systems is a must with a preference for those with knowledge of OneStream Dynamics 365 and Jet Reports.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required and experience with Power BI is a plus.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal for effective interaction with all levels of management.
A dedication to accuracy and a keen attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as a team leader.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification (or working towards one) is preferred.
