The Program Support Assistant will work closely with the Community-Based Outreach Programs under the supervision of the Program Director providing support to men and/or women. The main responsibility of this position is to greet substance-involved individuals entering the New Pathways Program who are seeking assistance behavioral health services and linkage to behavioral and physical treatment for individuals throughout the City of Philadelphia. The Program Support Assistant plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following outlines key responsibilities.
- Provide front desk/receptionist responsibilities: greet visitors provide telephone coverage maintain order in the front receptionist area fill out referral forms for food provide coffee and bagels for participants and monitor the sign-in sheet for participants
- Update a spreadsheet that monitors inventory for food and supplies.
- Filing data entry scheduling meetings faxing/copying/mailing
- Distribute SEPTA passes to participants and utilize a spreadsheet to track and consolidate SEPTA passes.
- Ability to handle confidential information manage CRS databases and ensure client records are in accordance with PHMC policies and procedures and meet HIPAA standards.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently.
- Update cultural- and population-specific educational materials and program forms to reflect current literature on viral hepatitis and substance treatment.
- Provide administrative support for the implementation of the Community-Based Outreach Programs including assistance with the development of promotional materials such as brochures PowerPoint presentations flyers and other program-related documents for recruitment and marketing strategies.
- Document project activities and maintain the monthly Community-Based Outreach project calendar.
- Document project activities and participate in the preparation of progress reports and other reports of project activities.
- Assist with the community health fair.
- Assist with Community-Based Outreach Programs evening and/or weekend education and screening events as well as recovery support events.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience working with substance-involved individuals
- Experience working with public health or social service programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills including knowledge of a range of software packages and spreadsheets
- Culturally competent and non-judgmental approach working with substance-involved individuals
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with databases and Microsoft Office required
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED required
