Job Description
Student Worker - Kalb Collection Coordinator
Purpose/Objective of the Role:
Fine Arts is seeking a student art major or minor that is motivated to promote and cultivate student art from OWU studios.
This position requires working and communicating with a range of people in the OWU community:
- Students
- Staff and Faculty
- Maintaining the social media
The work hours are flexible but the position requires availability during weekends.
Core responsibilities of the Gallery position:
- Assist with installments of the exhibits (there should be 2-3 exhibits per semester)
- Promote exhibits and Werner Gallery space to students and OWU community
- Maintain the inventory of gallery supplies/tool
Core responsibilities of Collections:
- Maintain the inventory of works in the Kalb collection
- Slides collection and the departments Instagram account
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills
- Good time management
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge to operate with basic power tools
- Capacity to lift and move items - (approximately 30 -50 pounds weight)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud platform
- No previous experience necessary needs to be art major or minor
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning moving materials and maintenance
Qualifications/Skills:
- Prefer art major/minor

Understanding the requirements for maintaining an art gallery and art collection
