Theres a Business Analyst opportunity to join our Data Management & Transformation team to help the business drive efficiency and insight through data. The team works across the business to help promote best practice with data and to assist teams in data management challenges either through improving data quality or through providing tools to help to manage or visualise data.
Were a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navys nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority.

As the Business Analyst you will help to identify improvement opportunities in the business manage the stakeholder to developer interfaces and to drive organisational engagement with the team. The team is demonstrating the value of data for resolving some of the organisations long standing challenges and in doing so is enabling Rolls-Royce to be a brilliant partner to the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Navy.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office home or another remote location. Its a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum were all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
You will be supporting the deployment of new data management policies and tools across the business helping to promote a positive data culture throughout the organisation.
- Engaging with stakeholders from across the business to identify opportunities to solve problems and eliminate waste through data driven tools and insight.
- Capturing clear requirements for support demands and collaborate with IT and developers to provide solutions that meet the needs of the customer.
- Supporting ad-hoc training of colleagues in key data management concepts and skills.
- Identifying and managing the benefits delivered from improved data management techniques.
- Measuring and recording the benefit of deployed methods and tools.

- Previous experience in a Business Analyst role or equivalent data management role
- Ability to communicate effectively to groups at all organisational levels
- Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders
- Experience of working across multi -disciplined teams
- Ability to generate clear requirements and user stories to communicate the needs of the end user.
- Experience of using BI tools (such as PowerBI) to drive data insight
- Strong understanding of data management fundamentals
- Understanding of how to employ improvement techniques such as Value Stream Mapping

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individualswho are a UK national or in MoD approved cases a dual national.
