Job Summary:

As the first point of contact for patients and clients at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute the Rehabilitation Services Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. With empathy and attention to detail you ensure that each individual feels seen heard and cared for from the moment they arrive.

You manage the check-in process with warmth and efficiency verifying that all department records and demographic information are complete and accurate. Your work ensures that every patients care begins on a solid addition youll coordinate and schedule future appointments helping patients stay on track with their rehabilitation journey.

  • 1 year scheduling experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with EPIC
  • 1 year in person customer service
  • Experience working with patients


About the role:

  • In-person Position
  • Full time position (80 hours every two-week pay period)
  • Shift is Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (10 hours shifts)
  • No weekends

Job Description:

The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients or clients receiving services in the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Ensuring the check-in process department records and demographic information is complete and accurate. Schedules appointments for future visits.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Scheduling
    • Schedules and/or reschedules patient appointments procedures diagnostic tests and other related appointments.
    • Enters all scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record.
    • Registers patients verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations as needed.
    • Creates deletes and modifys schedule versions and calendars to reflect changes in Therapist schedules.
    • Arranges interpreter services for patients as needed.
  • Administrative department support
    • Provides department reception patient check-in and telephone coverage routing messages accordingly.
    • Organizes and maintains department records manuals and patient education materials.
    • Participates in completion of patient data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Creates and maintains all training materials for new and current employees.
    • Assists physicians with reimbursements/expense reports physician credentialing charge capture and medical records.
  • Provide department support
    • Maintains governmental payor logs including faxing.
    • Updates patient charts.
    • Assists department with sending email communication related to initial patient assessments.
  • Chart preparation
    • Analyzes patient records to determine if outside documents are needed.
    • Contacts document source obtains records scans and index into the electronic medical record.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience


Physical Demands

  • Sedentary:
  • Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally negligible weight frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $21.55 to $29.35 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to your experience education and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
