Job Description
Reporting to the Head Chef who acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.
The Role
We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly outgoing personality that is appropriate for a child care center environmentas well as those with experience with children will be given special consideration.
You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliveries
- Load vans according to delivery manifests
- Follow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries
Vehicle Maintenance and Cleaning
- Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces daily
- Fleet preparation work as assigned
- Report issues or the appearance of warning lights immediately
- Every day inspect functional lights and signals as well as wear and tear
Delivery Equipment Returns
- Clean delivery bags and Cambro equipment thoroughly
- Storing/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Days/hours- Monday to Friday/ 7:00 am to 11:00 am
- Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
- 3 years of driving or work-related experience is preferred
- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Candidates are required to complete CORI ( fingerprinting)
- Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50 lbs)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset.
- Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions
