School Nurse
(37.5 hours/week - 200 days/year)
Margaret Beesk Elementary School
Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a school nurse position that is available at Margaret Beeks Elementary School.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The School Nurse will assist the Lead Nurse in the organization administration and implementation of school health services and will function as a contributing member of the school health team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse or a licensed professional nurse in Virginia
- One year of nursing experience
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Have effective written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
- Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to be dependable and punctual
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in public health or general nursing preferably in school nursing or community health nursing with children
Salary: LPN - $42788.31 - $73453.01 annually with benefits
RN - $44927.67 - $77126.71 annually with benefits
Commensurate with experience
FLSA: Exempt
