Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum to Perm Physician in Gastroenterology
Join our esteemed medical facility located in the heart of Des Moines Iowa. We are seeking an inpatient locum to perm provider specializing in Gastroenterology. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to practice in a supportive community-focused environment while providing top-notch care to our adult patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hospital-based coverage for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Perform 3-4 outpatient procedures per day along with inpatient procedures and consults.
- Manage 24-hour call shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM.
- Utilize EMR systems specifically Cerner for patient documentation.
- Conduct ERCP procedures; EUS is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Must be interested in a locum to perm position.
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 3 years of Residency - Required.
- Active Iowa License or IMLC - Required.
- ACLS Certification - Required.
- Willingness and ability to work inpatient - Required.
- Experience with ERCP - Required.
- EUS experience is highly preferred.
- COVID-19 Vaccination - Required.
- Clean malpractice and background history - Required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Iowa State Medical License or IMLC.
- Current ACLS certification.
