About the Team

Our surgical team is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of surgeons CRNAs nurses surgery technologists and more. From family medicine providers performing C-Sections to orthopedic specialists reconstructing ACLs our three operating rooms provide variety each day for all involved with the surgical services team.

Mission for Position

Provide an exceptional surgical experience for patients that align with Lakewood Healths mission vision and values from admission to discharge and after care.

Position Summary

Provide personalized care for the surgical patient by working as an integral member of the surgical team. Acquires prepares and handles instruments supplies and equipment necessary for procedures and maintains aseptic and sterile technique as well as the sterile field. The Surgical Technologist ensures that necessary equipment functions properly and that patient safety is maintained throughout the operative procedure. Is an expert in the principles of asepsis and possess the knowledge of surgical procedures equipment and instruments to help facilitate the physicians implementation of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

• This is a causalposition:This is a flexible as-needed position. Casual employees are called to work based on staffing needs without a guaranteed number of hours.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist credentials preferred but not required
• BLS certification required
