We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounts & Finance team contributing to the accuracy efficiency and ongoing improvement of our financial operations.
The Role
As an Accountant at Stanley College you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting. You will be responsible for preparing group consolidations preparing/approving journals producing timely and accurate financial statements and working closely with addition you will collaborate across departments to identify process improvements and support the implementation of a new accounting system.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
Prepare/review journal entries to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Compile analyse and present financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver ad-hoc financial reports to the CFO and Board as required.
Liaise with and support external auditors during audits.
Work with the Accounts & Finance team to identify and implement process and reporting improvements.
Actively contribute to the design testing and implementation of a new accounting system.
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements internal policies and best-practice accounting principles.
Lead and mentor other accountants fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
About You
Degree-qualified in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
CA or CPA qualified.
Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience with a focus on consolidations and financial reporting.
Experience managing and developing other accountants.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles with excellent attention to detail.
Proven track record in systems implementation or major process improvement projects.
Highly organised with strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
