Job Description
Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Hospitalist in Palm Springs CA
We are seeking an additional Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist for our practice at a premier medical facility in Palm Springs CA. Enjoy living where most people like to vacation!
Job Responsibilities:
- A full-time position includes approximately 7.5 24-hour in-house shifts/month (2190 hours annually).
- Minimum of approximately 5.5 shifts/month considered (1560 hours annually) with benefits.
- Responsible for delivery attendance OB triage patient evaluation and management surgical assists fetal monitoring and ER coverage.
- Collaborate with 2 OB Hospitalists in-house 24/7 ensuring no shifts alone.
- MFM team provides rounds and inpatient consults for high-risk patients.
- Practice covers around 60 deliveries per month with support from a 30-bed community Level-III NICU.
- Affiliated maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology practice support available.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with fellows residents and medical students.
- This is a permanent full-time position requiring residency within the immediate local area.
- Relocation may be necessary; locum candidates and visa candidates are not accepted.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- California medical license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- OB Hospitalist work experience - PREFERRED
- Interest in full-time or part-time employment - REQUIRED
- Willingness to relocate - REQUIRED
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN
- California State Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA Registration (must have prior to start)
