Job Description
Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care
Join a dynamic team in the heart of Lynchburg Virginia where we are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for our urgent care clinic. This facility specializes in both urgent care and occupational health ensuring a wide range of clinical exposure in a supportive environment. You will be working autonomously with access to a supervising physician via phone providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient demographic including adolescents adults and geriatric patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide episodic care and injury treatment to patients of all ages.
- Work autonomously while maintaining communication with the supervising physician.
- Utilize the Anthem EMR for documentation purposes.
- Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to deliver high-quality urgent care services.
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts and ensure minimum weekly hours are met.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified (ANCC AANP) - REQUIRED
- Active nursing license in Virginia - REQUIRED
- Current BLS certification - REQUIRED
- Minimum of 36 hours (3x12 shifts) per week availability - REQUIRED
- Must be a local provider - REQUIRED
- Ability to work within a $180 per hour rate cap - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Virginia nursing license
- Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
