Position Overview:
The Medical Director serves as the chief clinical leader responsible for organizing coordinating supervising and monitoring all medical staff activities ensuring quality regulatory compliance and clinical excellence.

Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO
- Licensure:
- Active unrestricted NY medical license
- Board Certification (accepted specialty)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in post-acute long-term care or hospital leadership.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of SNF regulations CMS guidelines and quality systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a licensed physician in good standing in NY Board Certified in at least one MCH-accepted specialty.
- Participate in Facility committees including Quality Assurance Pharmacy Infection Control and more.
- Meet regularly with administration to set medical goals and review standards.
- Participate in compliance surveys and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely attending physician coverage and availability of specialists.
- Monitor practice patterns of physicians and APPs.
- Oversee medical staff education and policy updates.
- Serve as a consultant to the Employee Health Program.
- Participate in budget processes to ensure adequate resources.
- Advocate for person-directed care patient choice and self-determination.
