50000 pa basic
Field-based and Remote Support across London and the South.
Our client a leading Security Integrator is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a field-based role with remote working flexibility and offers a competitive salary along with excellent benefits.
The Role:
As a Professional Services Engineer you will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical work including system migrations software and hardware upgrades and remote support. You will work in the field visiting client sites for system onboarding and ensuring optimal performance of integrated security solutions. Additionally youll collaborate with internal teams clients and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key duties include:
- Leading the deployment installation and configuration of hardware software and cloud-based solutions.
- Taking ownership of technical work including aftercare for system migrations and upgrades.
- Developing detailed project plans managing timelines resources and risks.
- Collaborating with the Professional Services Manager (PSM) on the development and management of the Technical Helpdesk and SSMA services.
- Handling escalated technical support requests and covering for the Helpdesk when needed.
- Providing ongoing technical guidance troubleshooting and performance improvements for clients.
You will also assist with pre-sales tasks such as attending client meetings system demonstrations and helping the commercial team identify potential sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement new processes and procedures within the Professional Services team.
- Lead technical projects from start to finish ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Provide technical support and expertise for integrated security systems.
- Manage client contracts including live support and aftercare.
What Were Looking For:
Were seeking a technically proficient individual with excellent project management and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable able to work in fast-paced environments and eager to take ownership of complex technical projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of core security products.
- Proficiency with SQL networks and Windows fault-finding.
- Experience with SaaS solutions and structured cabling system installation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
Desired Skills:
- Certifications in Genetec (Omnicast and Synergis) Lenel Gallagher or CCURE 9000.
- MCSE and/or CCNA certification.
- Experience with MS SQL JavaScript Python C and PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of SDKs and APIs.
- AXIS certification is a plus.
