Job Description
Title:Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager Grants Experience
Location: Hybrid Silver Spring MD (3 days onsite 2 days remote)
Pay Rate: $50$55/hour (higher possible for exceptional candidates)
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial analysis monthly reporting and budget preparation
- Manage grants accounting and compliance reporting
- Assist with budget season planning and analysis
- Oversee and improve accounting workflows and SOPs
- Partner cross-functionally on inspections leasing and marketing initiatives for assigned properties
- Collaborate with leadership on financial projects audits and strategic planning
- Ensure accuracy in MRI (preferred) or similar accounting software systems
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience preferably in nonprofit or real estate sectors
- Proven grants accounting and compliance experience
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables charts financial modeling)
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with MRI software a plus
