Title: WWE Medical Coordinator/Athletic Trainer
Location: Stamford CT (on-site) - 20-25% Travel
Status: Full Time
The WWE Medical Coordinator ATC supports the day-to-day operations of the medical services program for a dynamic sports event company. This position blends administrative and program coordination responsibilities with clinical expertise requiring current certification as an Athletic Trainer. This role encompasses a variety of duties related to managing medical records providing program support coordinating medical care and overseeing billing and insurance. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and proactive problem solver who is detail-oriented organized and thrives in a fast-paced event-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Records Management
Maintain a log of diagnostic tests ordered and received in addition to documenting reasons for medical attention
Maintain file room and digital files
Document immunizations and treatments as well as medications under the supervision of the medical staff
Program Support
Travel when requested to provide coverage for WWE shows/events shoots try-outs and training room hours as needed
Special projects as assigned
Billing and Insurance
Manage medical billing as well as vendor invoice payments
Work with Insurance company to resolve any issues and approve claims weekly
WWE Staff Medical Needs
Provide support related to comprehensive and coordinated medical care
Coordinate and facilitate physicals and blood work
Organize and attend pre-contract screening tests
Attend weekly medical call with staff doctors and athletic trainers
Proactively communicate issues and follow-up with Medical staff
Attend yearly medical meeting
Escort talent to local ER if injured during event
Assist with and monitor rehabilitation treatment plans as requested
Office Management
Order medical equipment supplies and testing for the medical and athletic staff
Prepare and generate weekly reports
Administrative responsibilities including but not limited to answering phones scheduling meetings booking travel scanning and filing
Qualifications
Minimum Experience
Required:
3 years related experience in the medical field as an athletic trainer (AT)
1 years of experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including program talent program leaders medical experts external vendors and partners
Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritizing effectively and maintaining attention to detail and accurate records
Ability to effectively handle and resolve issues maintaining professional presence and a solution-oriented approach
Ability to understand and appropriately use basic medical terminology as well as ATC concepts and protocols
Ability to adapt work style and remain flexible at times accepting/following specific direction and at times working independently with intrinsic motivation
Proficient in using electronic medical records systems word processing and spreadsheets; prefer expertise in Microsoft office suite or Google Drive
Ability to travel as assigned often with minimal notice. Domestic and international travel expected. Expected travel 20-25%
Ability to work evenings and weekends as requested.

Current athletic training certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)
