You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur Finance Teams: Our Finance team has a large part to play in the success of our business. We are based across a few locations but operate as one team and work together to create a positive productive and highly efficient finance department within News UK.
Your role: As Production Analyst based in the Peterborough office you will be an essential part of the Corporate and Commercial Finance team reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager Production & Logistics
Day to day:
Completion of both weekly and monthly management accounts including disposal and sale of Newsprint
Supporting production sites and paper mills in particular managing the Purchase order procedures to ensure the successful delivery of goods at all times.
Processing of weekly invoices and credit notes relating to Newsprint ensuring goods receipt information is processed and recorded correctly
Tracking budgeted spend vs actual spend by supplier
Managing intercompany recharge accounts ensuring this is maintained monthly
Monthly process of consignment stock in a timely manner
Regular communication with the other Finance teams ensuring a close working relationship and effective communication at all times.
Balance sheet management including the release of accruals and provisions in line with expectations
Raising self bill invoices relating to 3rd party sales
Processing production related invoices ensuring costs are recorded in the correct cost centres in a timely manner
Support annual audit answering any queries relating to your areas of responsibility alongside managing relevant SOX controls
Support other members of the production finance team as required providing cover where necessary
What we are looking for from you:
We want someone solution-oriented who really wants to make a difference with strong experience in communicating with finance and non-finance stakeholders. Some of the skills and experience you will need include:
Part qualified and actively studying ACCA CIMA or the equivalent.
Communicating effectively across a wide range of stakeholders including Directors Senior Managers and with all levels of staff in both Newsprinters and the wider Finance teams.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data across multiple systems.
SAP/TM1 experience would be beneficial

Purposeful with a strong desire to achieve and deliver work to a high standard
Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement simplification and efficiencies.
Ability to be curious; both identifying and resolving issues.
Some travel to the Broxbourne print site and London to meet with business stakeholders will be required
