Key Responsibilities:
Instruction
Teach assigned ASL courses in accordance with college policies and curriculum standards
Develop and maintain inclusive teaching practices
Establish and maintain a record of teaching excellence
Assist in the development and revision of ASL curriculum
Institutional Engagement
Build familiarity with college systems resources and initiatives
Participate in service activities that support student and institutional success
Engage in departmental planning and assessment
Professional Development
Collaborate with supervisors to align professional growth with student achievement
Stay current in ASL education and effective teaching methodologies
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What Were Looking For:
Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution (Masters degree preferred)
Experience teaching secondary-level students in ASL (three years preferred)
Ability to enact a variety of teaching methodologies including lectures group activities individual instruction distance learning and technology-enhanced instruction
Experience using instructional technology and online platforms (Canvas preferred)
Proficiency in internet email word processing spreadsheet and presentation software
Idaho interpreting license or relevant interpreting experience preferred
Commitment to inclusive education and student success
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring managers discretion. All candidates must reside within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
