Geisinger Gastroenterology is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville Pennsylvania.
Join a large and dynamic gastroenterology and hepatology department! You will collaborate with other advanced practitioners gastroenterologists transplant hepatologists advanced endoscopists fellows nurses pharmacists and other members of the team. Patients seen in our clinic include general GI advanced endoscopy inflammatory bowel disease hepatology and weight loss. A unique aspect of this position will be assisting in the clinical management of patients who will be undergoing a new innovative endoscopic weight loss procedure (endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty). Functions as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant advisor and liaison between patients families and physicians. Opportunities for continued education teaching and research as well.
Reports clinically to the Chief AP/GI and administratively to Operations Director.
This role will also have a presence at our Geisinger Medical Center platform in Shamokin Pennsylvania.
