How youll contribute
A Front Office Assistant who excels in this role:
Processes patients in and out of office in a timely fashion.
Registers patients.
Schedules patients for continuity doctor.
Answers telephones takes adequate messages screens and refers telephone calls
according to telephone protocol.
Provides continuity of care to our patients and prioritizing appointments for same day
visits (SDAS).
Enters and maintains physician schedules using computerized scheduling.
Assigns and enters proper ICD-10 codes daily.
Posts charges daily.
Keeps accurate patient log for secretarial department daily.
Prepares and processes patient referrals as necessary.
Provides coverage in medical records.
Enters complete and accurate patient information into the electronic medical record.
Performs clerical duties as necessary.
Collects patient payments.
Trains new staff.
Processes patients in and out of office in a timely fashion.
Answers telephones take adequate messages screens and refers telephone calls according to telephone protocol.
Enters and maintains physician schedules using computerized scheduling
Post charges in AS400.
Audits daily patient charges.
Cover when staff shortage exists.
Educate and communicate new tasks billing procedures.
Provides continuity of care to our patients and prioritizing appointments for same day
visits (SDAS).
