Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to conduct the Noise Vibration and function testing of the xEV DU and Motor units on the test dyno (including mounting instrumentation testing and dismounting). This associate is responsible for coordinating the identification and retrieval of xEV units from mass production for sample testing as well as units to be tested during new model trial events. Upon test completion this associate will make initial judgment of acceptable or unacceptable results and escalate the findings to their supervisor/management and support containment and sorting operations to protect the customer. Parts swapping and recreation testing may be required and expected to determine the suspect NG parts.
Minimum Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills):
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 4 - 6 years hands on shop work
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience and Skills):
2-year College Technical Degree or ASE certification
Experience with Noise and Vibration testing
Technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with Siemens LMS
Software Qualifications:
Basic experience required in Windows MS Office and Microsoft Teams.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Activities
Identify and request xEV units from sample testing
Install and remove xEV units from the test dyno and perform
testing
Perform preliminary data analysis to determine OK/NG results
Collaborate with NV Engineer for testing direction and advice
Perform swap testing analysis on xEV components as needed for
analysis/investigation
Support teardown and measurement analysis of component parts
and DU assy
Coordinate with QEs DE PE for recreation testing
Conduct special activities (correlation himotsuki etc) as necessary to
maintain and improve quality
Travel for training and support
Other duties assigned
