The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Supplier Quality Specialist in San Diego CA.
This position is available for 1st shift.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans and conducts audits and assessments of suppliers systems processes and products.
Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
Resolves routine issues and concerns.
This a hybrid position therefore the candidates will require the ability to work from home and/or supplier locations as assigned. The selected candidate will be supporting suppliers in the San Diego area.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. SecretClearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent work or military experience
3 years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits
3 years of experience with conducting Quality investigations Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments
1 years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings blueprints schematics and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits
Experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as (Lean Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma) to achieve measurable results
Experience with Aerospace industry standards: AS9100 AS9102 AS9138 AS9145 etc.
Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools
Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
Bachelors degree (or higher) in an accredited course of study
Travel:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
