Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and passionate secondary teacher to the position of Girls Year 7 & 8 Coordinator a key leadership role with responsibility for the pastoral care wellbeing and progress of our female students in these year levels. The role offers the opportunity to combine classroom excellence with a significant leadership responsibility contributing to the vibrant and supportive culture of our Middle School.
About the Role
As Girls Year 7 & 8 Coordinator you will oversee the pastoral program for these year levels working closely with staff students and parents to foster a safe supportive and engaging environment. You will demonstrate strong leadership in student management wellbeing initiatives and community engagement while also delivering high quality teaching within your subject area. This role requires a balance of strategic planning hands on student support and collaborative leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
This is a full-time ongoing secondary teaching position with the Position of Responsibility as Girls Year 7 & 8 Coordinator offered for a limited tenure of 3 years effective from Term 1 2026

- Strong IT skills
- Proven excellence in teaching at the secondary level
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to high standards of pastoral care
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support staff and students
- Excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to engaging with the broader life of the School
- The ability to build positive relationships with students parents and colleagues
