Anthro-Tech is seeking a Content Strategist to join our impactful and talented team. We are looking for someone passionate about advising and coaching clients and leading user experience (UX) content activities for complex digital products.
In this role youll work with an interdisciplinary team of designers researchers accessibility experts and change management consultants. Youll collaborate on purposeful user-centered design solutionsincluding structuring and organizing content to make it easy to find improving the usefulness usability and accessibility of content defining how content gets created published and maintained and designing entire digital experiences from the ground up. Youll also coach clients on how to sustain the work we do for them through content governance measurement planning workshops and training.
Some things you wouldve done last week if you were working with us:
- Collaborated closely with an interdisciplinary team including UX designers researchers developers business analysts and project managers
- In collaboration with subject matter experts conducted a content inventory and audit to determine which content should be deleted revised or migrated as-is
- Defined content goals priorities and success metrics
- Facilitated a collaborative design thinking workshop to identify innovative solutions for a complex content issue or to provide voice and tone guidance that aligns with a clients brand
- Identified opportunities and made actionable recommendations for structured content based on content discovery activitiessuch as content audits comparative analysis user research and content testing
- Organized content for usability and findability including designing information architectures content models and taxonomies
- Developed an improvement strategy for content on a large information-rich website
- Led governance framework effortsincluding defining roles and responsibilities and content workflowsfor a client in accordance with their marketing and branding strategy business goals and user needs
- Held office hours to guide multiple content contributors within a client organization
- Educated clients on content strategy activities and their role in the process
- Participated in meetings with our internal team to keep everyone on track collaborating and moving towards our shared project vision
Other things you might do:
- Gather and act on continuous feedback from stakeholders users and peers throughout projects to iterate ad improve on your work
- Translate ideas from the team and client into a systems-focused concept
- Support user research activities to inform your work by collaborating with researchers on research plans and discussion guides
- Sketch out ideas with a UX Designer to help inform low and high-fidelity concepts
- Teach content-related trainings to groups of 25 or more participants
- Develop content requirements for designers and developers in formats that are easy for them to understand and use
- Be a fierce advocate for clear useful usable and sustainable content throughout the user-centered design process
- Weigh in on prioritization and planning meetings for developing products and solutions
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in content strategy design and operations
- Present concepts to clients walking them through rationale of content and design decisions
- Develop marketing collateral for Anthro-Tech to share with prospective clients
What you bring to the position:
- 4 years of experience leading content workstreams coaching clients and facilitating workshops and training.
- Experience with software tools such as: Miro/Mural Airtable Figma (or similar) and MS Office products
- Familiarity with popular content management systems (such as Drupal WordPress and SharePoint) and related content requirements
- A bachelors degree or higher in communications human-centered design user experience design or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience with developing content strategies governance plans and information architectures for information-rich websites
- Knowledge of how to collaborate with stakeholders and work on interdisciplinary teams to accomplish shared goals
- Readiness to help scope a new project respond to an RFP help build our content strategy practice and write thought leadership content
- Excellent communication and listening skills write speak and present information effectively persuasively and confidently in a variety of communication settings
- Possess a strong understanding of human-centered design principles and the design thinking process
- A passion for making an impact by working with our clients and continually learning and growing your expertise
SCHEDULING & TRAVEL
This is a temporary remote W-2 position offering part-time to full-time support on an as-needed basis starting as soon as possible through mid-October 2025 with the potential for extension.
Youll be assigned to specific projects with estimated weekly hours (040) provided in advance to support planning. We aim to confirm your schedule at least one week ahead.
Team collaboration typically occurs between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM Pacific Time. Outside those hours your schedule is flexible and can be arranged with your manager.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Anthro-Tech offers competitive compensation and limited benefits for this role including:
- Paid Time Off (PTO) - youll accrue PTO for each hour you work. Full-time team members accrue approximately 15 PTO days per year
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role of Content Strategist (Temporary W2) is $43 - $59 per hour Benefits.
