PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Coordinate the testing scoring and coding of students for the Bilingual and ESL programs. Assist with organizing studentlanguage testing records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma
Associate degree or minimum of 48 college hours required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Utilize effective interpersonal skills; ability to interpret and communicate policies and procedures relating to student data collection; knowledge of general computing equipment and software and ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Clerical and computer knowledge
Must be able to comprehend speak read and write effectively in both English and Spanish.
Experience:
Experience in administering scoring and interpreting Pre-LAS LAS-Links Online and Terra Nova data required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in school setting background in working with English Language Learners required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in performing multiple office tasks preferred.
Workdays/Hours: 180 /maximum 19 hrs. per week
Pay Date: Biweekly
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the Bilingual/ESL Department and campuses in testing scoring and recording Pre-LAS LAS-Links LAS-Links Online and Terra Nova data.
- Assist with allBilingual/ESL testing inventory.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of language assessments for initial identification of English Language Learners.
- Assist in scheduling 2nd - 12th grade out-of-statestudents for testing at the Bilingual/ESL Department.
- Answer phone calls and be able to communicate to parents testing procedures.
- Guideparents in filling out any pertinent documentation such as but not limited to Educational History forms.
- Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator)
