Job Description

The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for developing implementing and refining Acelero Learnings family service approach in order to promote family outcomes that support childrens school readiness and well-being.

What Youll Do:

- Builds a team that works collaboratively with early learning MH and Disabilities and Health and Nutrition staff in order to enhance family life practices and circumstances that promote child development and well-being.

- Maintains qualitative and quantitative quality improvement and monitoring systems in order to assure that program strategies are executed with reliability fidelity and quality.

- Manages eligibility recruitment selection enrollment and attendance oversight to ensure that all systems and operations are in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and reflect integration of community assessment and other community indicator data.

- Oversees ERSEA staff to assure that program maintains active and up to date waiting list fills vacancies within required timeframes and assures that children are selected according to Head Start Performance Standards eligibility guidelines.

- Works in coordination with program leadership to develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies that assure enrollment of children with greatest need.

- Coordinates with Center and leadership to assure that family services and early learning teams work together to assure on-time daily attendance of all children and to implement strategies to reduce chronic absence.

- Works with agency leadership to align programs Family Services approach with the Office of Head Starts Parent Family Community Engagement Framework and to enhance interventions to achieve family outcomes in the seven targeted outcome areas.

- Provides coaching and support to family services staff to assure the reliability of family assessment and goal progress data and to strengthen staff focus on outcomes-focused family interventions.

- Utilizes qualitative audit and external evaluation data to track family outcomes and to refine strategies to enhance family impact.

- Supports Family Services staff to assist families to set individualized evidence-based goals and make demonstrable changes in family life practices linked in the research to school readiness.

- Coordinates with Early Learning MHD and Health leadership and staff to develop and implement group and Center-based campaigns and activities that build a program wide culture among staff and families to promote family life practices to close the achievement gap.

What Youll Bring:
1. Bachelors Degree in Family Services Public Health Social Work or related field required.

2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with diverse families in low-income communities with supervisory responsibilities required; experience executing evidence-based strategies to strengthen outcomes for children and families preferred.

3. Must have or acquire and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid within the first six (6) months.

4. Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

5. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

6. Must have a valid drivers license and/or reliable transportation.

How Much: This position pays $61679 annually ($2569.96 per pay).
