Collaborate with various harvesting teams to improve techniques and enhance overall productivity.
Engage with landowners and stakeholders to uphold the companys reputation through professional interactions.
Lead and manage a proactive and efficient team ensuring safe and effective harvesting operations.
Manage develop and implement strategic plans to achieve high-quality harvesting in compliance with FSC standards.
Establish and manage contracts to meet harvesting objectives while adhering to industry regulations.
Oversee wildlife and heritage conservation within harvesting sites ensuring compliance and financial implications.
Develop and implement comprehensive harvesting plans considering factors like tree species age size and site conditions.
Assess the quantity and quality of tree species to be harvested.
Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Proven experience (min 10 years) in managing forestry operations with a strong understanding of harvesting practices.
Knowledge of environmental conservation principles and legal regulations related to forestry and harvesting (FSC).
Excellent leadership and team management skills promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Strong budget management abilities with experience in monitoring performance indicators and financial forecasting.
Valid drivers license
Must be willing to travel across the Eastern Cape
