Job Description

TO: All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFROM:Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT:Coordinator for Title I Services and ProgrammingThe above captioned interim position is brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel. The primary function of this position is to provide district-wide leadership in the development planning and improvement of Title I programs monitor implementation of the Districts Title I program and develop appropriate submissions and reports for state and federal :MA DESE Supervisor/Director- Core (Reading/Language Arts) License or the ability to obtain the licenseAt least 3 years grant experience including writing application submission day-to-day management of grant requirements and budgets preferredAt least 5 years of successful teaching experienceKnowledge of federal grants related to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (Title I II and IV)Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based literacy instruction and experience in leading elementary literacy initiativesExperience in facilitating educator professional developmentDemonstrated skill in organization leadership communication problem solving collaboration and team buildingResponsibilitiesLead program planning and evaluation activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Title I II and IV initiativesProcess and track all expenditures for Title I (district and private schools) and Titles II & IV (private schools only) and maintain records and documentation for fiscal and programmatic audit reviews and compliance monitoring of ESSA Grants Title I Title II and Title IVServe as the districts primary contact for private schools participating in Title I II and IV equitable oversight and support to school-based Family Engagement Liaisons to ensure high quality family engagement events aligned with DESEs family engagement timely and meaningful consultation meetings with private school officials documenting agendas minutes and agreed-upon collaboratively with all stakeholders to prepare and submit required Title grant paperwork and data including ensuring private school equitable services under ESSACollaborate with instructional staff administrators and other agencies/organizations to ensure the implementation of program goals and guidelinesMeet regularly with preK-8 building-based leadership teams and Parent Advisory Committees/School Site Councils to support school improvement planning and effortsCollaborate with district curriculum leadership to ensure robust well-aligned programming especially in the area of literacyImplement focused efforts to establish strong connections between schools and Pre-K and Kindergarten familiesRemain current on laws and requirements regarding each program; meet with related staff to interpret and implement regulationsConduct evaluations of Title I educatorsCompensation: 1.30 ratio for the school year plus 4 weeks (11 months). This position is contingent upon grant to: Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning- PreK-8A resume of the applicants educational and professional background should accompany the letter of application. A copy of administrative certification should also be submitted.
