Job Description
MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis cockpit and front-end module) core system eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering autonomous driving infotainment component modules safety brake and steering systems lamp ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Engage in all stage of software design and implementation activities for automotive infotainment (Telematics or Multimedia) features.
- Participate in design review and code inspection meeting.
- Participate in vehicle quality events.
- Creation of software requirement design documents.
- Creation of system test plans based on specifications and standards.
- Define test cases and conduct designer level and product level testing.
- Manage small projects and technical resources including planning estimating and follow through.
- Works with the customer to further define requirements and to resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers to improve overall system performance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS/ REQUIRMENTS:
- Be a team player.
- Have great attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.)
- Strong hands-on skills on Software debugging.
- Should be familiar with software version control tools.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication and customer facing skills.
- Experience in developing automotive multimedia/infotainment software highly desired.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree required in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: MS degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum 2 years of hands-on programming experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of software development experience in Android or Linux OS environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- A typical work week is 45 hours/week.
- Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 7am- 9am M-F.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
- Stress may occur periodically.
