Job Summary:
We are seeking three experienced Team Managers to join a Child Protection Team on a temporary basis.
This role involves overseeing and supporting frontline social workers in delivering safe high-quality services to children and families.
You will provide leadership supervision and professional guidance while ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and performance standards.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
Provide operational leadership and case oversight for a busy Child Protection Team.
Supervise and support social workers ensuring high-quality practice and decision-making.
Manage team performance ensuring compliance with statutory duties policies and procedures.
Oversee complex casework including child protection children in need and care proceedings.
Ensure that the voice of the child is central to all planning and interventions.
Support staff through case discussions reflective supervision and coaching.
Monitor and review workloads to ensure staff well-being and service efficiency.
Liaise with partner agencies and internal departments to support multi-agency safeguarding work.
Contribute to audits inspections and service development initiatives.
Skills/Experience:
Significant experience in child protection and statutory children s social care.
Proven leadership or management experience within a social work setting.
Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation policies and best practice guidance.
Strong supervisory communication and decision-making skills.
Able to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Confident in managing complex cases chairing meetings and working collaboratively across agencies.

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Significant experience in child protection and statutory children s social care. Proven leadership or management experience within a social work setting. Able to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment. Confident in managing complex cases, chairing meetings, and working collaboratively across agencies.
Education
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
