Job Description

3 months contract with local authority

We are seeking a Supervisor to take charge of the day-to-day operations at our Seamer Carr or Whitby depots ensuring the safe efficient and high-quality delivery of highways and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing both reactive and planned maintenance schemes as well as the capital works programme within our term maintenance contract with North Yorkshire Council. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting a team of operatives subcontractors and depot staff planning and coordinating materials plant and labor ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental standards monitoring project progress budgets and performance and mentoring and developing the team to ensure their success.

Requirements


  • Proven experience in highways or construction at Ganger level or above
  • Knowledge of Traffic Management (TM1 TM2 T7)
  • Understanding of health & safety legislation and quality assurance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Winter 6159 Supervisor Unit 621)


Requirements: Proven experience in conducting tree surveys Certification as an arborist In-depth knowledge of arboriculture practices and standards
