We are looking for a Senior Analytics Manager in our Data Analytics & Business Improvement team. Come and help us build a robust behavioural analytics platform for our portfolio of consumer facing LEGO websites and apps and play a critical part in our ambition to build direct and lasting relationships with millions of LEGO fans around the world!
No relocation support is offered for this role.
Core Responsibilities
Translate business questions into requirements for data analytics and in doing so help a cross-functional team of Product Managers Audience Strategy Leads Marketing & Content professionals and others get to the right questions aimed at identifying sources of growth for our business through understanding how consumers interact with our digital touchpoints
Lead the implementation of user and audience behaviour tracking across our digital touchpoints ensuring the right mix of known and unknown usage tracking is available in line with the LEGO Groups policies around the ethical and transparent use of opted-in consumer data
Define the needs for dashboards and self-serve reporting capabilities for different user groups in the company and lead the development of a suite of reports that are tailored to the unique data & insight needs of each group (via PowerBI and/or similar data visualisation tools)
Work with a cross-functional data & analytics team to create well structured easily accessible data sources that can be used for downstream reporting and analysis (via SQL working on Databricks)
Carry out ad-hoc analysis on digital product performance user journey analysis and marketing / content effectiveness to help our business understand which touchpoints and tactics are driving the greatest value for the business (and why)
Turn raw data into meaningful insights and recommendations and act as a data storyteller to bring actionable analysis to senior leadership
Develop and implement a learning agenda for our Digital Consumer Engagement products identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance consumer interaction with our touchpoints. Collaborate with product teams to implement recommendations and assess the effectiveness of the changes made
Play a leading role in a cross-functional data analytics and insights network across the LEGO Group ensuring alignment around core metrics and collaborating with others to develop best practice and shared learnings on the drivers of effective consumer engagement
Maintain a continual outside-in focus and drive our user insights test and learn agenda by continually exploring new methodologies data sources and insight partners that will enable us to get a more holistic view of the consumer & shopper

The Data Analytics & Business Improvement team is an analytics and continuous improvement practice within the LEGO Groups Digital Consumer Engagement (DCE) function. Our focus is on establishing two-way long lasting and meaningful relationships with our consumers and shoppers and we believe that the ethical transparent and effective use of consumer data is key to this ambition.
For this role we are seeking a highly entrepreneurial analytics specialist who is comfortable working in a matrixed and cross-functional organisation. Being able to influence multiple teams and collaborators will be key as will the ability to balance detailed hands-on analysis with generating unexpected insights and creating compelling narratives designed to inspire action in the business.
Do you have what it takes
Proven Business Impact: Significant experience with business insights in a marketing or product development context including games or other digital products Must have a proven track record of driving business actions based on the analysis of consumer behaviour data
Hypothesis-Driven Research: Proven experience in hypothesis-driven research by identifying key assumptions behind growth drivers and validating them through comprehensive analysis of various data sources.
Data Storytelling: Hands-on experience turning raw unstructured data into meaningful insights and so what recommendations and comfort using a variety of analytics tools and methodologies Experience creating meaningful data visualisation and communicating this with senior business partners
Web Analytics Expertise: Proficiency with Adobe Analytics and/or Snowplow and the implementation of tracking variables across both known and unknown / anonymous device IDs
Data Transformation: Experience performing analysis on large data sets in a Big Data platform (i.e. Databricks or a similar platform)
Technical Proficiency: Comfort with SQL is a must and comfort with Power BI or a similar visualisation tool is an asset (We are comfortable with candidates who need to improve their skills in these areas but this role will require a hands-on technical specialist who is comfortable continually developing and upgrading their skills in these areas)
Problem-Solving & Relationship Building: Comfort with ambiguity and a natural preference for an environment where you play an active role in defining the solution to complex and undefined problems Were looking for a leader who is proactive and comfortable taking initiative even without formal authority. This person should also be adept at building collaborative relationships across different areas of an organisation to ensure momentum.
Communication Skills & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to build trusted working relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics to those less familiar with data infrastructure.
Experience in management consulting or marketing / analytics agencies advantageous
