The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems team is looking for a Satellite Electrocompatibility Engineer (Associate or Experienced) based out of our El Segundo CA Satellite Electrocompatibility Engineer supports electromagnetic compatibility and related tasks through all satellite program phases for ESS and other programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Interface effectively with all technical disciplines in a team environment to trade factors such as survivability cost weight and technical risk in arriving at the final design.
Perform electromagnetic compatibility requirements verification testing electrical circuit analysis and support unit-level device-level and material susceptibility testing and analysis.
Assists in developing and documenting requirements for various communication sensor electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
Performs basic analysis to predict component performance to established requirements.
Conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Collects data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle.
Supports project management by gathering project status data.
Gathers information to support development of sections of proposals to support development of new business.
Works under supervision of a technical lead engineer (TLE).
This position requires an active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
Knowledge of digital circuits analog circuits computers and microprocessors
Experience in the use of any of the following electronic test equipment: network analyzers oscilloscopes signal generators or spectrum analyzers
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (approximately once a month)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
Experience with survivability related technologies such as CAD space environments radiation effects device physics or multi-physics computer simulation
Experience in spacecraft system design development test and evaluation
Experience in analysis tools (i.e. PSpice MATLAB MATHCAD ANSYS COMSOL Mentor Graphics electrical tools Saber Zuken E3 or Xilinx Vivad).
