Our client is a fast-growing pan-African financial group thats serious about ESG sustainability and inclusive finance. With operations spanning Africa and bold plans to expand they are looking for someone to lead and elevate their Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) and impact initiatives.
Whats the role about
As the ESG & Impact Officer youll play a pivotal role in building and driving the Groups ESG strategy across their financial services businesses. Youll ensure they meet international standards align with investor expectations and embed sustainable practices that create long-term value socially environmentally and financially.
What youll be doing:
- Design and roll out ESG policies frameworks and reporting systems across the Group
- Conduct ESG risk assessments and advise on mitigation strategies
- Monitor their environmental and social impact ensuring regulatory compliance
- Lead ESG reporting and investor updates including Green and Social Bond initiatives
- Train teams and engage stakeholders on ESG best practices
- Stay on top of global ESG developments and help them evolve ahead of the curve
What were looking for:
- Newly qualified CA(SA) with a passion for ESG sustainability and capital raising
- Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple ESG work streams
- Passionate about embedding ESG in financial services and property development
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Tech-savvy especially in Excel PowerPoint and generative AI tools
- Must be open to travel in Africa
