ANNUAL STARTING SALARY FOR POSITION IS $70K AND NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Job Summary
Oversees and supervises overall budgeting and FTE functions. Ensures compliance with state statutes laws rules and regulations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Functions
1. Supervises and trains assigned staff conducts performance appraisals makes employment and discipline recommendations and coordinates work assignments.
2. Oversees budgeting work assignments budgeting processes and related activities for accuracy and compliance with State and School District regulations and procedures.
3. Researches and resolves internal and external customer issues and challenges.
4. Ensures timely and accurate budgetary funds analysis performs forecast and FTE surveys and examines other budgetary and actual transactions to warrant stewardship of the District resources in accordance with School District guidelines statutes laws rules and regulations.
5. Submits numerous budgetary and FTE reports that align with District policies and State statutes.
6. Develops and reviews standard operating procedures budgetary and FTE guidelines and procedures.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Masters degree preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years accounting or budgetary related supervisory and/or leadership experience (or equivalent). Experience in public school and/or government administration preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of budgetary practices principles and policies
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards
Knowledge of public school administration business management and accounting
Knowledge of Florida laws and regulations related to governmental fiscal and budgetary activities
Strong oral written interpersonal and presentation communication skills
Strong word processing excel spreadsheet database and presentation software skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong organization skills
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion especially with sensitive and confidential personnel or organizational matters
Ability to plan organize and schedule work flow to meet legal budgetary and FTE deadlines
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to take on additional responsibilities by multi-tasking
Ability to assist the Director of Budget/Financial Reporting to improve work-related matters of the department
Ability to delegate tasks to staff and provide strong coaching
